Iyanya, the Singer, responds to a man who threatened him for admiring his girlfriend.

A young man threatened Iyanya, a well-known singer from Nigeria, online for having feelings for his girlfriend. Iyanya responded.

It all began after Iyanya posted on Twitter about how a woman attracted his attention in the audience while he was performing at Davido’s Timeless event in Lagos and asked her to get in touch with him.

“One lovely girl was glancing at me yesterday during the Davido Timeless Concert. I had to concentrate on my work, but this morning I came to mind that you tried to confuse me, so if you are that lovely girl, report yourself now beneath this tweet,” he wrote on Twitter.

A short while later, he tweeted a picture of the woman with the message, “Update: It seems we’ve found the girl,” and announced on the microblogging site that he had located the woman.

In response to the tweet, a man claiming to be the woman’s boyfriend ordered Iyanya to delete his posts about his girlfriend and threatened to take legal action if they weren’t.

“One fineeee girl been Dey eye me yesterday @davido Timeless Concert. I had to focus on the job, so this morning I come remember 😂😂 if you are that fine girl report yourself now under this tweet, you wanted to confuse me ha,” he wrote on Twitter.

Moments later, he gave an update on the microblogging platform that he had found the lady and shared her photo with the caption, “Update: It seems we’ve found the girl.😍”.

However, a man claiming to be the lady’s boyfriend, while responding to the tweet, asked Iyanya to take down his posts about his girlfriend and threatened to take action if they were not removed.
