6 Ways To Get Glowing Skin

We all love to have that perfect glowing skin, right? I mean who doesn’t feel good when someone asks what their beauty secret is? In the wake of millions of skincare products in the market, it is easy to be duped or fall for fake organic products.

6 Ways To Get Glowing Skin

You will never go wrong with natural remedies because most of what reflects on our skin is what is happening inside our body. Stress could lead to breakouts and wrinkles but fortunately, having good coping strategies or meditating will help you look and feel better. Here are tips for lovely skin.

1. Stay Active.

Regular exercise is one of the secrets to healthy skin. This can be aerobics, yoga, or anything that is making you sweat. Exercise helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital by releasing toxins from your body and skin.

During work out, there is an increased blood flow throughout the body, thereby bringing vital oxygen, nutrients, and minerals to the skin. This helps you get healthier and glowing skin. it is one of the best ways of cleansing your skin from the inside and a cheaper way too.

2. Drink Water And Eat Healthy Foods.

Water not only promotes natural detoxification but also helps keep your skin hydrated. This reduces the chance of getting acne because dry skin triggers excess oil production.

Taking lots of water will keep your skin soft and smooth when used along with good skincare products such as a moisturizer suitable for your skin type. The type of food we eat reflects on our skin.

For example, taking highly processed food and refined carbohydrates can over time cause mild inflammation in the body and heighten skin problems such as acne.

Taking healthy foods such as vegetables contain Vitamin A for skin cell production and Vitamin C essential for manufacturing collagen that keeps your skin strong and healthy.

Fruits like bananas have Vitamin B6 which prevents acne. Blueberries have antioxidants that brighten skin tone. Some foods for glowing skin include tomatoes, broccoli, fish, sweet potatoes, avocadoes and oranges.

3. You Can Never Go Wrong With Honey.

I have never loved honey because of its smell, but it works magic on the skin. When I suffered from a breakout, it lightened my scars and restored my original skin tone.

The availability of good honey in the streets has made it easier to make face masks at home. Honey can be used as an exfoliator, to fight acne and pimples, hydrate the skin, add a natural glow and make you look younger.

4. The Power Of Turmeric.

Turmeric is a secret beauty weapon for most women. It not only works in curries but on faces too. It contains a bioactive component called curcumin which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Turmeric helps reduce pigmentation, evens out the skin tone and revives your skin by bringing out its natural glow. For best results, turmeric can be mixed with honey, shea butter, or tomato juice for glowing skin.

You can also achieve this by mixing it with lemon juice or milk. To reduce redness, inflammation and dry patches turmeric can be mixed with coconut oil. Olive oil mixed with turmeric helps retain the elasticity of the skin.

5. Egg White Face Mask.

My cousin introduced me to using egg whites as a face mask and it makes my face feel young and rejuvenated. It is believed the protein in egg white has skin-tightening effects and absorbs excess oil from the skin.

To use this face mask, separate the egg yolk from the white and mix it with lemon and honey. You can keep the mask in the fridge for 30 minutes, apply it to your face and leave it to dry. Wash off and then moisturize.

The egg white can be mixed with oatmeal to make a face scrub. It can also be applied around the eye area to get rid of puffiness and dark circles.

6. Aloe Vera Is Your Friend.

You know that plant that has thorny sides, and I am not talking about a cactus. That plant is your friend when you have breakouts or when you are looking for your skin to glow.

Most Aloe Vera products sold to us are not pure so it’s better to get it from the source. Once you get hold of the plant, you cut its leaf and you’ll find a gel-like substance. I prefer to use it as raw as it is but there are people who prefer to add some honey to it and blend it. Whichever works for you, do it.
