“Rice is expensive, my student came to school with amala” – Nigerian teacher shares video of meal her student was consuming in class (WATCH)

A Nigerian teacher has taken to social media to share the meal her student was consuming in class during lunch hour.

The teacher identified as @i_ammarygold shared on TikTok that rice is an expensive food in the local market, but people still need to eat, hence, they opt for the food they can easily afford.

The female teacher, who is a NYSC corps member was filled with excitement stating that her students always amaze her with their exceptional act.

She captioned,

“Rice is expensive, and we can’t do but to eat what we can afford😂😂😂 My students with d doings!

She noted that the boy was excited while she records him eat his local meal.

The video has sparked reactions online with some indicating that the meal is also expensive as rice in the local market while others share their experience after taking a local meal to school.
