Nigerian Man Celebrates after Bagging 1st Class, Shares Certificates as he Searches for Opportunities

A young Nigerian man identified as Farouk Salisu Garba has taken to social media to celebrate his win after bagging first class in water resources and environmental engineering from Ahmadu Bello University.

Taking to his LinkedIn page, the young man expressed gratitude to God and those who made his academic journey a success. In his words: “I have a great deal of research experience in engineering discipline, both in the lab and in the field. Most of my experience is in environmental field studies. Am also of great experience in the IT world designing softwares such as Epernet, WaterCAD and AutoCad.

He said: “I am a dedicated and result driven individual by my approach to work thereby taking ownership of all tasks assigned to me.” Social media users took to the comment section of the post to congratulate the young man. Aminu Faruk Umar wrote: “I like your grade, it reminds me of mine two years ago. I wish you all the best brother, make sure to build your skills and competence in an area of interest, compile a portfolio of personal projects or internship and you’re good to go for today’s labour market.

For now that’s all you need.” Muh’d Sani Hamma commented: “Congratulations, you have honoured the people that have supported you while on this journey, they did a good. But you forgot to thank and glorify the one that gave you life and the knowledge. Try to (sic) Allah first before anything, because everything belongs to him. Making the disclosure on his Twitter page, the young man shared adorable graduation photos of himself. In his words: “B.Sc (First Class Honors), Petroleum Engineering, University of Ibadan while simultaneously scaling a multiple-award winning startup that is currently available in 6 African countries and building my skills as a Software Engineer. Grateful to God!”
