I Don’t Want To Give Birth, I Just Want To Be A Mother Of Cats- Kenyan socialite, Muthoni Gitau

Popular Kenyan Socialite, Muthoni Gitau has revealed that she does not want to have kids.

According to her, she stated that she wants a glamorous wedding and a husband but she does not want to have kids but she wants to be the mother of cats.

In her words;

“I see myself with a partner travelling the world and that end there.“I don’t want to give birth, I don’t want to mother.. I even don’t want to be a step mum, the only mum I want to be is a cat mum.”

Speaking further, she said she made this decision when she was age 10 and her parents accepted her decision since they raised her well enough.

Claiming that most women are not given an opportunity to choose if they want to indulge in motherhood, she insisted that it is a societal expectation. According to her, most people cannot really give a reason why they need children except for legacy and family continuation.

She said; Women have been conditioned to serve men and are not allowed to choose what they really want in life. It’s okay to live, it’s okay to choose yourself.”
Commenting on talk show host Jeannie Mai revealing that she is pregnant with her first child, the Kenyan socialite said she totally relates with her since she did not bear kids in her first marriage of 10 years and only got pregnant a month after remarrying rapper Jeezy whom she termed as her soul mate.

Muthoni who stressed that the topic is very serious to her and she considers it as a first date conversation, stated that she hopes not to end up with a partner who will try to convince her otherwise.
