Endrick

How Endrick’s first Brazil goal helped five-time world champions to a 1-0 win against England at Wembley

Endrick stats keep coming and they are increasingly impressive. His goal at Wembley makes him the youngest goalscorer for Brazil since Ronaldo in 1994

Endrick is 17 years and 246 days old while his predecessor was 17 years and 228 days old when he scored against Iceland in May 1994.

The only players to score for Brazil at a younger age:

  • Pele (16 years and 257 days)
  • Edu (16 years and 306 days)

One more friendly left in this international break for both teams, then it is full steam ahead for the summer’s major tournaments once the domestic season is concluded.

Here is how both teams’ schedules look in the summer:

  • Friendly – England vs Iceland (June 7)
  • Euro 2024 group stage – Serbia vs England (June 16)
  • Euro 2024 group stage – Denmark vs England (June 20)
  • Euro 2024 group stage – England vs Slovenia (June 25)

Brazil

  • Friendly – Mexico vs Brazil (June 8)

And then you can factor in some knockout football in both teams make it out of their respective tournament groups!

This was England’s first home defeat in a friendly since March 2016 (2-1 vs the Netherlands), ending an 18-game unbeaten run.
