Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling party, APC.

The presidential aide wrote ‘’So Zamfara is back home! Welcome, Matawalle’’.

Meanwhile the Governor is yet to officially confirm his defection to the ruling party.

What you should know

Matawalle’s reported defection comes just days after his Cross River State counterpart Ben Ayade dumped the Peoples Democratic Party to join the All Progressives Congress.

With Metawalle’s defection, the ruling party now has 22 governors, the PDP 13 and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) one.
