Kaduna State University Tops Twitter Trend
Meanwhile, some Kaduna State University students already took to Twitter to condemn the hike despite the Nigerian economy and most households still reeling from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
The students have rejected the increase.
Abdulrazak Shuaibu, a medical student, who spoke on behalf of the students, said the tuition fees were increased from N26,000 to N150,000 for students in the Faculty of Arts, Management, and Social Sciences.
Shuaibu, who is a former President of Kaduna State Students Union, added that students in the Faculty of Medicine from the state will now pay N300,000 as against N24,000 while non-indigenes will pay N500,000.
Others via Twitter said;
El Rufai is an outright failure in governance. The Insecurity in Kaduna has peaked in the few days, no statement from him, and his wife is busy correcting people’s grammar on TL. That aside, he increased Kaduna State University Tuition Fees from 26k to 500k. Totally unacceptable!

Studying in Kaduna state university will be for the rich only if the increment is not reviewed
May God help us ?— Kasu_campus (@Kasu_campus)
N26,000 to N500,000 is a very high astronomical shoot na. Haba
What happened to a gradual and steady tuition increment over time?
What academic measures are already on ground to justify this aggressive increment?
Is there good security in the Kaduna State University environ?
