Nnaji Treasure Chidiogo, a newly inducted medical doctor at Babcock University, has made history by breaking two academic records in the College of Health and Medical Sciences.

Nnaji achieved nine distinctions and became the first medical doctor to score distinction in Community Health. She was honored during the 9th induction of 93 medical doctors by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

The Ogun State branch of the Nigeria Medical Association celebrated her achievement with a N200,000 cash gift and plaque.

Babcock University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ademola Tayo, commended the new doctors and urged them to prioritize patients’ needs over financial gain. He emphasized the importance of collaboration to combat recurring diseases like Lassa Fever.

Prof. John Sotunsa, Provost of Benjamin Carson College of Health and Medical Sciences, noted that over 20 medical doctors obtained distinctions, with Nnaji recording the highest. He advised the new doctors to communicate effectively with patients and stressed the link between fighting corruption and improving health indices.
