Adesanya’s Nigeria corruption comment doesn’t deter warm reception in New Zealand

Israel Adesanya, a New Zealander-Nigerian mixed martial artist, had a hero’s welcome in New Zealand after winning his UFC Middleweight title.

We previously reported that Adesanya defeated long-time adversary Alex Pereira at UFC 287 on April 9, 2023, to reclaim his title, which he had lost to the Brazilian the previous year.

Following his victory, the Last Stylebender was recently thrilled with the Haka Dance in New Zealand.

Adesanya was shown receiving a special greeting from thousands of New Zealanders in a video that went viral on the internet.
