A 300-level student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka campus has allegedly committed suicide after his phone was seized by a lecturer and his exam script torn for cheating in an exam.
The deceased student identified as Daniel Mba allegedly jumped to his death from the third floor of a storey building on Friday, March 12, 2021.
According to reports, Daniel was caught cheating with his phone in an examination and was made to start over after the lecturer tore his examination script. He then went to his lodge and injected a poisonous substance into his body. When the substance failed to produce the desired effect, he jumped to his death from a storey building at about 11:34 PM.
He was found by his lodge mates lying unconscious on the floor, and then rushed to the hospital where he died.
