Joy in Manchester as United have revealed when the club will announce the appointment of Erik ten Hag as their new manager, according to The Telegraph.
Man United’s hierarchy is now in the stages of working through the finer details of the deal with Ten Hag already having an idea when he will be appointed.
The Red Devils are determined to be respectful of Ajax, who are still competing for two trophies and will therefore wait until after the Dutch Cup final before announcing Ten Hag to avoid any distractions which could potentially derail their campaign.
The Premier League giants have always enjoyed good relations with Ajax, particularly chief executive Edwin van der Sar, who was a former Manchester United player and wants to maintain those links.
Ajax will face PSV Eindhoven on Sunday in the KNVB Cup as they are four points clear on top of the Eredivisie table with only five games left of the season.
An announcement is likely before Ajax have sealed the title but not before the Cup final on April 17, with Man United still hopeful of having their Ten Hag secured by the end of the month.
Ten hag is considered as one of the games greats.
