ATACMS

How many ATACMS were secretly delivered to Ukraine and how the Armed Forces of Ukraine really beat the ruscists with lightning speed

According to Western media, the United States sent long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine “last week”

In mid-February of this year, US President Joe Biden secretly decided to supply Ukraine with more than 100 “new long-range missiles” at once, as well as an undisclosed number of cluster munitions — these missiles were included in one of the $300 million defense aid packages for Ukraine, which became known in March of this year.

Probably, we are talking about ATACMS missiles with a range of 190 miles (more than 300 km). The transfer of these missiles to Ukraine was also confirmed by US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink on her social media account X (formerly Twitter).

At the same time, as noted in The New York Times with reference to one of the unnamed American officials, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck with these missiles at the Dzhankoi air base in the temporarily occupied Crimea, where, in particular, the S-400 air defense system was destroyed, as well as “at Russian troops in the port city of Berdyansk.”

As noted in the publication, the United States sent these missiles to Ukraine “last week”, and since the strike on the air base in Crimea was carried out on the night of April 17, we are talking about a really lightning-fast implementation of a probably pre-prepared operation to destroy an anti-aircraft missile system important for the Rashists.

“These strikes proved once again that Ukraine can have combat victories if it is given the right tools. Ukraine can target any Russian facility in Crimea, including critical ammunition and fuel depots. Imagine if they had these missiles two years ago,” said one of the senators, Roger Wicker, a Republican on the Armed Services Committee.

At the same time, the secrecy of the transfer of long-range missiles is explained quite simply — it was necessary so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could unexpectedly strike at the ruscists and so that the enemy could not somehow adapt to possible strikes by these missiles.

It will be recalled that Ukraine already received long-range ATACMS missiles from the United States last year and successfully used them from HIMARS or M270 systems to strike the Russian occupation army, but then missiles with a range of 165 km were transferred to us.

It will also be recalled that ATACMS missiles are included in the new $1 billion defense aid package from the United States — Defense Express talked about it in more detail in a separate article.
