Nollywood actress and politician Funke Akindele has revealed why she left Twitter after she lost the election.
Funke Akindele, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate, was defeated in the last gubernatorial seat in Lagos.
A few days after losing the elections, Funke Akindele deleted all her posts related to her political career.
After she lost the elections, Funke also avoided the bird app, Twitter. However, a curious fan inquired about her absence from the app following her recent return.
The fan wrote;
“Madam Funke, I site you… Longest time.. you run away from us abi wot happen?”
Funke responded;
“Dem too dey insult people on this app, so I stay off.”
Many celebrities have prefer Instagram to Twitter, majorly because of its toxic nature, and the vile abuse that is now a ritual on the app.
