Elon Musk was a surprise name in congratulating Cristiano Ronaldo following Al-Nassr’s “big” AFC Champions League win over Al-Gharafa.
Al-Nassr secured a comfortable 3-1 win over Al-Gharafa, who spent the last six minutes down to 10 men. Ronaldo scored twice in the victory and after the match, the 39-year-old took to X to toast his team’s triumph. And, Tesla and X owner Musk was quick to congratulate the Portuguese, too.
After Ronaldo posted several pictures from the win and added: “Big win tonight!”, Musk commented on the post: “Congrats!”
Al-Nassr have been off the pace in the Saudi Pro League this season, sitting six points behind defending champions Al-Hilal and eight adrift of table-toppers Al-Ittihad. But they have won four of their five AFC Champions League and this victory was a confidence-boosting win.
Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr side, who are third in the division, return to league action on Friday afternoon when they host Damac to round off the month.
