Jide Sanya returned to Nigeria from England after he had to drop out of school due to a lack of funds to continue with his education. However, that was not the end of his journey. Determined to pursue his education, a GoFundMe was set up to help him raise funds for his schooling. He received donations from several Nigerians including music superstar, Davido. Like a dream come true, Sanya recently graduated from Afe Babalola University with a First Class degree.
He took to Twitter to celebrate. Sharing photos of himself with Davido, a screenshot of his GoFundMe and recent photos from his graduation, he wrote:
“Uni timeline left England because money no Dey Lagos, mentor sets up a gofundme for uni, @davido dropped funds to support my fundraiser (thanks to twitter folk ❤️), Resumed abuad and survived Nigerian education, first class EEE #ThankYouJesus”
Meanwhile, Nigerians have been gushing over singer Davido after a fan shared a sneak peek of his feature in Coming 2 America. In the movie, Davido was spotted singing his popular song Assurance as a young man and woman walked hand in hand, to the admiration of their guests. A few hours after the movie was released, the Nigerian singer took to his Instagram page to comment on how he felt about his feature.
