A National Youth Service Corp member identified as Yanusa Ranatu, has given birth at the Orientation Camp in Bayelsa.
Ranatu, who was deployed to Bayelsa State camp for the 2021 batch B orientation course, was gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday, August 31, 2021.
The Corp member with call-up number BY/21B/1675, had just concluded her registration at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kaiama, when she went into labour.
It was learnt that she was rushed to the state referral hospital in Kaiama, where she was delivered of her baby by another Corp member, Dr. Clara Mbanusi, who was on duty.
The State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Ojugo Iyowuna, later led a delegation of camp officials to visit the child and Ranatu, who hails from Kwara State.
Iyowuna presented items to support both mother and child who were certified to be in good health.
