George Spyrakis passed away unexpectedly plunging the artistic world into grief, the news of his death was made known by Spyros Bibilas with a post on social media.
Notably, the well-known actor posted an image of the late colleague on Instagram through which he bids farewell to his late colleague. In the caption of the post, she wrote: “Today unfortunately we again had bad news for our artistic field with two departures. Our dear friend and worthy colleague, George Spyrakis of our generation, passed away suddenly two days after his birthday. He served the theatre with love, initially with Pepi Economopoulou’s MIRROR company and then at the NTNG”.
At the same time, through the same post, Spyros Bibilas made known another death of an actor. The reason for Cecilia Papazoglou-Forst who passed away at the age of 96. “And 96-year-old Cecilia Papazoglou-Forst with a long history, after being rescued from the Nazi concentration camps where she was interned with her Austrian communist father and arriving on foot in Greece and settling in Thessaloniki where she joined the youth traveling troupes.”
“There she met Yiannis Dalianidis, Martha Karagianni and she was the first girl of Kostas Voutsas that I brought back together 60 years later and they were connected again with great love. Cecilia was a great benefactor of TASEI and a wonderful woman, we will never forget them,” wrote Spyros Bibilas in his post.
