Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, says the alarming increase in the number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), occasioned by insecurity in the North, constantly troubles him.
According to the governor, he has sleepless nights because of the knowledge that people have been forced to flee their homes because of insurgency.
Speaking at event, Ortom stated that even when he’s engaging in conjugals with his wife, he still thinks about the IDPs.
He said; “Even when I’m on top of my wife and I remember the people in the IDP camp…”
Then the crowd echoed; “It goes flat” with Ortom smiling in agreement.
