BREAKING: Buhari summons Osinbajo to London

President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned Acting President to Yemi Osinbajo to London for urgent meeting, the presidency has said.

The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the acting president, Laolu Akande tweeted this on his twitter handle @akandeoj.

He tweeted at 7:34pm “AgP Osinbajo meeting with President Buhari in London today, and returning to Abuja immediately afterwards.”

Osinbajo jetted out soon after presiding over the Quarterly Presidential Business Forum on Tuesday morning at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Akande, had initially denied the trip when he realized that State House correspondents got wind of it, saying that the Acting President would only be traveling to Lagos.

Akande through his tweet did not disclose details of the meeting in London.

The Acting President is expected to preside over Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting.

Buhari who left the country on May 7 has been away for more than 60 days attending to his health in London.

His wife had visited him on May 30 and returned a week later on June 6th.

Mrs. Buhari returned to London on Tuesday July 3, after attending the meeting of the Organization of African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA) in Addis Ababa, on July 3rd.

Mrs. Buhari on Monday on her Facebook page hinted on her husband’s recovering and possible return soon.

She posted “the hyenas” and “the jackals” will soon be ejected from the kingdom, while responding to an earlier post made by the senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani.

She wrote, “God has answered the prayers of the weaker animals. The hyenas and the jackals will soon be sent out of the kingdom. We strongly believe in the prayers and support of the weaker animals. Long live the weaker animals, long live Nigeria.
