In an interview with RFI, former UFC champion Francis Ngannou explains that he will leave the sport when his motivation is no longer present.
Ngannou is set to make his big return to the octagon on October 19 against Renan Ferreira at PFL. This fight is highly anticipated by fans of the “Predator,” following his notable performances in boxing against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. When asked about his future by Radio France Internationale, the MMA champion stated that he would leave the sport once he loses his motivation.
“I will leave the sport before the sport leaves me. If I wake up in a year or two and no longer have that motivation, which makes me that fighter, then that will be the right time. It has been a good journey, but I’m not thinking about my retirement date for now. I will continue until I no longer want to,” Ngannou shared.
