A Chinese supermarket in Abuja has come under fire after allegedly restricting Nigerian customers from accessing the store.
The supermarket situated at the China General Chamber of Commerce, along Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Road in Abuja, is acclaimed as a destination for Chinese cuisine and beverages.
In the viral footage, the unidentified Nigerian man can be seen expressing his frustration and shock as he is turned away at the supermarket entrance.
The management reportedly cited restrictions on Nigerian customers, prompting the man to voice his dismay at the discriminatory treatment.
In his statement captured in the video, the man lamented the situation, noting the inconvenience of having to seek out alternative shopping venues despite his interest in exploring Chinese cuisine and products.
This discovery has generated a lot of bad feelings among Nigerians who have described the supermarket’s policy as discriminatory. They called on the government to intervene.

This is an embarrassment of the highest order on the government/citizens of Nigeria. This is arrant nonsense, our government are the cause of this, when they don’t value their own citizen, how would they respect and value us.”
