Marcus Rashford believes Manchester United are “capable of winning big trophies” but admits there is still room for improvement following their disappointing Champions League exit.
United have won just three major trophies since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013 – the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League under former managers Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.
The last of those triumphs was in 2017 and although current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer guided United to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League last season – as well as a third-place finish in the Premier League – the club’s wait for silverware continues.
