Iheanacho scores a goal by wroting his name in the Premier League’s history books on Tuesday after he became the first player to score a goal on all seven days of the week in a single season.
Iheanacho came off the mark for Leicester City as the Foxes Champions League hopes suffered setback following a 2-1 loss to Chelsea.
The hosts had taken a two-goal lead in the second-half through Antonio Rudiger and Jorginho before the Nigerian international reduced the deficit with 14 minutes left on the clock after he was introduced for James Maddison.
Iheanacho received a pass from compatriot Wilfred Ndidi, after which he knocked the ball calmly into the bottom right corner to beat Eduoard Mendy.
The 24-year-old has now scored 12 goals in 24 outings so far in the 2020-21 campaign.
The is Leicester’s highest goalscorer in all competitions this term with 19 goals – four more than veteran Jamie Vardy.
The defeat dealt a huge blow to Leicester’s top-four ambition as they climbed down to fourth on the table with three points adrift of fifth place Liverpool, who face Burnley on Wednesday.
A win for Jurgen Klopp’s men will see the Foxes drop further to fifth on goal difference regardless of the number scored by Liverpool.
