A 58-year-old Nigerian woman has demonstrated remarkable determination by earning her degree from the Federal University Lafia. After dedicating years to raising her children, she decided to return to school and has successfully completed her studies in social work.

 

A video shared on TikTok by @abujafoodtrayexpert captured the joyous moment as her children joined her at the university to celebrate her achievement. The proud graduate held a placard that read, “Proud graduate at 58. BSc Social Work. Try it yourself if it’s that easy.”

 

Her daughter, who shared the video, expressed their immense pride, noting that they all surprised their mother at her sign-out ceremony. The caption read, “My Mum earned a BSc at 58! We surprised her at her sign-out celebration.”
