Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo turns 61 today, March 1, but has revealed he won’t be celebrating.

The thespian, in a video he shared on his Instagram page on March 1, said he decided to cancel all birthday celebrations due to the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.

Recall that INEC chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu, this morning declared Tinubu, a former Lagos governor, the winner of the 2023 presidential election this morning.

Tinubu emerged the President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a total of  8,794,726 votes.

Speaking on the election result, Kanayo, who is a staunch supporter of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi, accused INEC of compromising the election results.

He specifically faulted the failure of the INEC to transmit the election results electronically through the use of Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS), via the INEC Server, which resulted in the use of manual collation system.

He berated the INEC for failing to transmit election results electronically via the INEC server using the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS).

He maintained that he has no plans of celebrating his 61st birthday because the “heart of Nigeria is bleeding.”

Sharing the video on his Instagram page, he wrote, “I am not celebrating my birthday today because INEC sold SHAME in the market. God bless you, my fans and well-wishers for your support and prayers.”
