It was a tough dual at the Turf moor, Varane took the lead with a strong header in the 12th minute but it was chalked off for a possible offside. Paul Pogba gave the visitors a lead with a stunning strike in the 18th minute, it could have been 2 before the hour mark, but VAR chalked another goal off in a controversial manner.
