Thompson, Curry lead Warriors to victory over Lakers, 134-120

(AP) — Klay Thompson scored 27 points, Stephen Curry added 23 and the Golden State Warriors took advantage of Anthony Davis’ absence through injury to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 134-120 on Tuesday night.

Andrew Wiggins scored 17 points for the Western Conference Warriors, who made 26 of their 41 3-point attempts, including 16 of 23 by Curry, Thompson and Draymond Green.

In the first half, only Green made all five of his 3-pointers. Golden State’s 26 3-pointers were the most allowed in a game by the Lakers.

The Warriors (44-35) have won eight of nine down the stretch to pull within a half-game of the ninth-seeded Lakers (45-35).

Golden State has the advantage in the tiebreaker, the head-to-head duels. Therefore, it would be at home for a potential duel of the ninth against the tenth, next week in the playoff mini-tournament, if it takes advantage of its last three games of the regular season.
