Well-known award-winning Nigerian writer Chimamanda Adichie has lamented over the state of her country Nigeria and her regrets as a Nigerian.
Speaking during an interview with Media Personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio Live, the playwright said Nigeria deeply frustrates her and has made her have a rethink of her decision not to become a US citizen.
Speaking further, Chimamanda said that she only owns a Nigerian passport and it was a decision she took years ago because she wanted to truly share in the experience of an average Nigerian.
The video interview which she made months ago also captured her disclosing that she was waiting for former President Donald Trump to leave office so that she can apply to be a US citizen.
