Marc Cucurella told to ‘shut his mouth’ by Chelsea icon in scathing message

After Marc Cucurella endured a tough start to the season against Manchester City, one Chelsea icon has furiously hit out at the Spanish defender.

Chelsea legend Emmanuel Petit has furiously told Marc Cucurella to ‘shut up’ and do his talking on the pitch.

The Spanish left-back endured a difficult afternoon on the Blues’ opening day 2-0 home defeat to Manchester City. After Cucurella, 26, starred for Spain on their way to winning Euro 2024, he celebrated by singing a song made up by Spanish fans which features a line that says Erling Haaland is “trembling” when he sees him.

It came back to bite him as Haaland went on to outmuscle the ex-Brighton and Hove Albion defender on his way to scoring City’s first goal of the game. The Norwegian also brutally ignored Cucurella when he was lying on the floor in pain after suffering an injury.

Haaland finished his day’s work by rubbing extra salt in the defender’s wounds in his post-match interview. After a difficult weekend for Cucurella and Chelsea as a whole, Petit brusquely told the Spanish international to keep his mouth shut and focus on his game.
