”From selling under a tree to owning a shop” – Man who lost his job and started business with N4,300 shows off his new store

A South African man identified as Tsepo Rapudi has become a source of inspiration to many with the story of how he opened his own business within a year of losing his job.

He lost his job in 2019, but that did not make him depressed or weigh him down, rather than sulk, he sought a way to bounce back to his feet.

In 2020, Tsepo decided to start a small open air business under a tree with just R150 (N4,300) which he stocked with 24 crates of fruit juice.

After saving the profits, the entrepreneur reinvested it and was finally able to open his own shop selling different types of provisions and household items.

It’s 2021 and he is the proud owner of his own Spaza store. His story was shared on Twitter by Kasi Economy.
