2025 Lincoln Navigator Preview: Innovative Luxury And Technology

Lincoln has unveiled the all-new 2025 Lincoln Navigator with a wide array of upgrades in the areas of design, technology, and luxury.

The 2025 Lincoln Navigator will go on sale next spring with a starting price over $100,000, but the list of standard equipment on even the base model confirms the newest version’s elevated status within the full-size luxury segment.

While the Navigator’s 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 carries over largely unchanged, and still offers 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, nearly every other aspect of the vehicle is enhanced.

Probably the biggest Navigator news comes in the form of a 48-inch widescreen display that offers Google Play audio features in the form of podcasts and music, and even video entertainment and gaming options when the vehicle is parked. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard and available through a 5G wireless connection. Google Voice assistant is accessible through a dedicated steering wheel button, as are Alexa and Siri voice commands. In addition to the large panoramic display is an 11.1-inch central touchscreen to controls the Navigator’s many features.

Among those features are highly personalized settings for the display layout and app placement, plus music, interior lighting, and of course seat position and climate controls. These can be tied to both traditional keys and smartphones, the latter of which can start and drive the Navigator through Lincoln’s “Phone as a Key” feature. The Navigator will sense when either a key or phone approaches and begin the “Lincoln Embrace” welcoming feature with specific exterior lighting effects. The new Navigator offers 4 years of complimentary 5G connection speed with purchase.

Lincoln has extended its premium treatment beyond the first-row occupants for 2025. Second-row passengers can now enjoy the same heating, cooling, and massaging seats offered in the front row, as well as wireless phone charging and individual display screens. Third-row passengers can also enjoy heated seats, along with easy entry/exit from the powered second-row seats that slide forward at the touch of a button. The third-row seat now comes in a 40/20/40 split-folding configuration, allowing for passengers, cargo, or both to be carried simultaneously.

New high-tech luxury features include the latest version of Lincoln Blue Cruise, which allows for extended hands-free driving on specific freeways and the ability to change lanes by simply using the turn signal stalk. There are 14 available USB ports, with 4 each in the second and third rows. Lincoln’s trademark high-comfort seats now offer 24 adjustments for the driver’s seat in the standard Navigator and 30 in Black Label models (the front passenger has 22 adjustments). Advanced tow features like Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Hitch Assist are also standard on all models.

Buyers shopping the new Navigator can choose between multiple trims and themes, including the Jet Appearance Package with black exterior accents and 22-inch wheels, or the Black Label model with 24-inch wheels. The full-width LED taillights now reside on a split tailgate offering a lower section that can used as a seat or table when tailgating. Interior and exterior color choices, multiple “Rejuvenate” themes, offered in 5- and 10-minute sessions combining sight, sound, and scent treatments, further speak to the high-level luxury experience Lincoln is offering.

The 2025 Lincoln Navigator will continue to service as the brand’s premier luxury model, while it’s combination of unique and innovative features should grant it a strong position in the highly competitive full-size luxury SUV category.
